Known as Jeanne, she attended Eastmont Jr. High and Montebello Sr. High Schools in Montebello before the family moved to Long Beach. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in 1942.
In 1947 she married De Roy Thomas in Malad, Idaho at his parents home. They took up residence in Long Beach and had a son, Daniel Craig Thomas, before they went their separate ways, but not until she had purchased a home in Long Beach. The original owner of the home, she lived there until her death.
In 1955 she married Frank Chamberlin and had her only daughter, Lisa. It too was not meant to be.
She was a superb mother and raised the children on her own, working as a teletype operator for Matson Van Lines.
About 1964 she was reunited with a boyfriend from her youth Thomas G. Coultrup. They married in Jan 1967 and continued to reside at her residence in Long Beach. They loved Mexico and thought of moving to Mazatlan, but changed their minds when it became so commercial. Instead they bought several versions of campers and mobile homes over the years, spending several months a year in Baja CA, usually Cabo or San Felipe, fishing and enjoying life on the beach.
She passed at St. Mary's Hospital, Long Beach.
Surviving were her husband Tom and daughter Lisa.
