Son of Thomas Henry Custer and Sarah Jane (Hunter) Custer, Fourth child of six, four son's and two daughters. Isaac married twice, first to Dora Jane Kier on March 8, 1887 in Avena, Fayette County, Illinois, USA. They were bless with eight children, Jessie Illinois, Sarah Anna Frances, Emma Lenora, Clarence Edward Custer, Rosetta Jane, George Matthew Custer, William Sylvester Custer and Leslie Theodore Custer. After her death in Sep. 1906, he married Mrs. Delia Southwick of Roscoe, Missouri on November 4, 1911, upon his death those left to mourn him was Delia, 4 sons, three daughters as Sarah Anna Frances died in 1900 before her mother, three step-daughters Mrs.(Jessie) James Beach, Mrs.(Doshia) Harry Foltmer and Mrs.(Zena) Howard Ray. Three brothers George W. Custer of Colorado, David Custer of Colorado and William Custer of Missouri. Twelve (12) grandchildren.
