Buried in the portion of the cemetery that was St. Mary's Roman Catholic, which is on the east side of Portage Road on the corner of Elmwood Avenue. Came to the U.S. in 1884. Became a citizen in 1893, while living in Johnsonberg, Elk County, PA. Enlisted in PA National Guard and fought in the Spanish American War, in Puerto Rico. Married Catherine Behrens (1875-1950), daughter of Conrad Behrens & Rosina Spitzer, and widow of Peter Laughlin, around 1904 or 1905. At the time he died, was a firefighter for Acheson Graphite. 3 children: Maurice Michael, Catherine, Rosina. 3 step-children: Helen Catherine, Edward, and Charles Laughlin.
