APOPLEXY CAUSED DEATH OF MRS. GEORGE GEARHART
Mrs. Sarah Gearhart, aged 67 years died at her home in Black Hand Sunday at 6 pm, of a stroke of apoplexy which she sustained some time Saturday. She was the widow of George Gearhart. On Saturday evening when Mr. Ira Gearhart returned home from his work in this city, he found his mother lying on the floor in an unconscious condition, just as she had fallen when the stroke came upon her, probably sometime during the afternoon. Dr. Postle was called but was unable to do anything for her and she died. The deceased is survived by three sons, one daughter having died, the sons are Ira, Wilson a telegraph lineman of Chicago, and Allen of East Main Street this city, also two brothers and a sister, Simon Redman and Lina Nethers of Frazeysburg and James Redman of Newark. The funeral was held Tuesday at 2 pm in the M. P. Church near the Hanover cemetery, where interment took place. Elders Souble and Rufner officiating.
