Wilson Thomas Gearhart, 77, retired Western Union Telegraph Co. employee, former resident of Toboso, died at 2 am Thursday at his home in Chicago, Ill. He had been in failing health several months. Born January 21, 1872 in Toboso, he was the son of George and Sarah (Redman) Gearhart, and is the last of his immediate family. He was a telegraph operator and resident in Chicago 40 years. His wife Margaret (Hughes) Gearhart died in 1903, also 3 sons deceased. His second wife Ella Gearhart died 16 years ago. He leaves two nieces, Mrs Margaret Ashcraft of Hanover and Mrs. Pearl McArtor of Reform. Two brothers and a sister are deceased. Mr. Gearhart was a member of Hanover Lodge F & AM. The body will be received at Criss Brothers Funeral Home Sunday. Funeral arrangements are incomplete.
