Percy Taylor Hodges, Jr., 78, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2010, at his residence in the 100 block of W. Leicester Ave., Norfolk, VA. He was born in Little Washington, NC, and was the son of the late Percy and Selma Hodges. He was predeceased by his wife, Mildred Ray Hodges; and his brother, Jimmy Gray Hodges in North Carolina. A long-time resident of Norfolk, VA, he retired from the Norfolk Naval Supply Center in 1980 after 30 years of service. He also held a Captain's License and spent most of his remaining years on his boat, the "Brothers", which he owned with his brothers, Piggy and Jimmy Gray.
A graveside service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel Thursday from 7 to 8 p.m.
