A small black cat with green eyes and a HUGE personality. He was one of the funniest cats I've ever seen -- he actually had a sense of humor, and he was one of those cats whose face is so expressive, you can tell exactly what they are thinking. And a lot of the time it wasn't very complimentary. You always had the impression that if he ran the world, it would be a much better place (at least in his own mind).

JohnHenry was in chronic renal failure, & we did the whole subcue fluids, etc. at home for quite a while. One day after his morning treatment he just sat there & purred like I have never heard him purr before. Even my husband thought it was odd. I took him to the vet & said "there's something wrong, but I have no idea what it is." I left him so they could run some tests & he gave me a really LONG look as I left. I was getting ready to go back to be with him when my vet called & told me JohnHenry had just had a heart attack. They got him breathing again but he wasn't conscious, and I said to let him go. I know that JohnHenry made the decision I might not have been able to make, & I love him even more for that. I know he is happy & safe at the Bridge & I will see my JohnHenry again when I go Home.
