She was a retired banker. She started her career with The Bank of Illmo, Mo., then the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. She eventually spent 40-plus years with Citizens Bank of Jonesboro as an officer of the bank over the bookkeeping department where she traveled with The CBS Club.
She retired at the age of 65 but went on for 10 more years with Mid-South Bank where she organized and led The Adventure Club, traveling the world with its members. She loved traveling and never met a stranger.
The loves of her life were her two girls and her grandchildren. She was a member of Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol McCarthy and husband John and Debbie Rutherford and husband Richard; four grandchildren, Traci Brewington and husband James, Heather Strong and husband Scott, Matthew Rutherford and Scott Rutherford; two great-grandchildren, Megan McCarthy and Haley Strong, all of Jonesboro; two sisters, Jodie McKee of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Jean Williams of Waterloo, Iowa; two brothers, Pat Brazel of Scott City, Mo., and Mike Brazel of Kansas City, Mo.; and one sister-in-law, Nita Brazel of Jackson, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Kinsall; mother, Dorothy Brazel; father, Homer Brazel; and two brothers, Homer Ray Brazel Jr. and Dick Brazel.
A celebration of her lifewas held in the Gregg Funeral Home Chapel with Jerry Parker of Walnut Street Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Matthew Rutherford, James Brewington, Kent Williams, Adam Williams, Pat Brazel, Eric Brazel and Steve Brazel.
