Robert Edward 'Bob' Dahl

SHERWOOD -- Robert E. Dahl, 38, formerly of Newberg, died Thursday in Portland of cancer.
A Portland native, he moved to Sherwood in 1961 and graduated from Sherwood High School in 1975. He worked for Sherwood Lumber Yard for many years and as a machinist for Freightliner in Portland for nine years.
His interests included playing horseshoes and city league basketball in Tigard and Newberg.
Survivors include his sons, Kyle, Austin and Chad, all of Newberg; mother, Eva Dahl of Sherwood; brothers, Don of Lake Oswego, Mike of Scotts Mills, Mark of Portland, and Steve and Tim, both of Sherwood; and sisters, Cher Horlacher of Scholls, Lisa Popham of Lincoln City and Amy Jo Dahl of Sherwood.
Visiting will be 1 to 7 p.m. today at Attrell's mortuary, Sherwood. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the mortuary. Interment will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery, Sherwood. Contributions: Washington County Hospice or American Cancer Society in care of the mortuary.
