Vi grew up in St. Louis, MO and lived there her whole life. She worked as a young woman to supplement her family's income, and secretly married but they lived apart, since she needed to help her family. Her first husband passed away, however. She attended law school for a short time, and later became a legal secretary and married a lawyer; they never had children. Vi was a career woman all her life, and wore beautiful and sophisticated suits, hats, and shoes to her job in downtown St. Louis. A brilliant woman, she was a great role model to her nieces, and her nephews loved her as well. A devout Catholic, she was godmother to many, and is now missed by many more.
