Obituary:

Winnie Lou Shipman Moore, 98, formerly of Spartanburg, died Wednesday, September 21, 2011, at Alpha Health and Rehab in Greer. Born May 10, 1913, in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Johnny William and Molly Price Shipman, and wife of the late Robert Learlie Moore. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and a member of Holston Creek Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Hazel Cook Wilson of Boiling Springs, John Earl Moore and wife Carolyn of Anderson, Reba Owens Cookson of Inman, and Ernest Eugene "Gene" Moore of Spartanburg; 19 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and great-great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Rachel Pauline Cook; a son, Robert "Bob" Carroll Moore; four grandchildren; and brothers and sisters, Gus Price, Grady, Lawrence, Roy, Toy, Ernest, and Carl Shipman, Sula Green, Ula Buckner, Geneva Tesneair, William and Charles Shipman, Irene Moore, and Rosalee Shipman.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Floyd's Greenlawn Chapel. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Friday, September 23, 2011, at Holston Creek Baptist Church, by the Rev. Dr. Reggie Parker and Mr. Isaac Bryant. Burial will be in Holston Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family is at the home of her daughter, Hazel Wilson, 230 Oakmont Drive, Boiling Springs, SC.
