Annie Mae Kirkland Betts
Annie Mae Kirkland Betts, 63, of Monroeville, died Sunday Sept. 26, 2004, at her residence.
A native and lifelong resident of Monroe County, Mrs. Betts was a homemaker and a member of Limestone Faulk A.M.E. Zion Church in Drewry.
Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, at 1 p.m. in Limestone Faulk A.M.E. Church. The Rev. Danbray Archie will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, Joe Lee Betts of Monroeville; her father and mother, Robert and Zelma Kirkland of Drewry; six sons, Wayne Betts, Alfonso Betts and wife Vickey and Anthony Betts and wife Lisa, all of Nashville, Tenn., Jerome Betts and wife Francilla and Gregory Betts and wife Opra, all of Monroeville, and Joe Jr. Betts and wife Johnette of Gautier, Miss.; three daughters, Jennifer Lett and husband Rickey and Christy Lett and husband Derek, all of Monroeville, and Sharon Betts of Moss Point, Miss.; three sisters, Sandra McCorvey and husband David of Drewry, Ruby Henderson and husband Joe of Chunchula and Louise Thames of Monroeville; and 30 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
