McGINNIS, MARTHA HONEYCUTT
Central Baptist member. Martha Honeycutt McGinnis, 66, of Oak Ridge, died at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville after a brief illness. Mrs. McGinnis was a member of Central Baptist Church. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping and traveling, the family said, and attending family gatherings. Mrs. McGinnis was born May 19, 1930, in Morristown, the daughter of Jennings Bryan and Ada Lee Vermillion Honeycutt. She is survived by her husband, Ray McGinnis, who is retired from the Y-12 Plant of Lockheed Martin Energy Systems; a daughter, Janice Connelly; a son, Jim McGinnis; a daughter-in-law, Laura McGinnis, and a son-in-law, Dennis Connelly, all of Oak Ridge; and three sisters: Kate Whitaker of Morristown; Maude Simmons of Birmingham, AL; and Dorothy Price of Oak Ridge. Mrs. McGinnis is also survived by grandchildren, Robin Connelly-Gaus of Minot, ND, and Stephen Connelly, Amy McGinnis, Colleen McGinnis, and Alex McGinnis, all of Oak Ridge; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 8:30 tonight, August 26, in the chapel of Weatherford Mortuary with the Rev. Bruce Coyle and the Rev. Tom Lee officiating. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, August 27, at Anderson Memorial Gardens, 640 Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 tonight at the mortuary. The family requests any memorials be in the form of donations to Central Baptist Church Building Fund, 130 Providence Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
