Mrs. Blanche E. Foor, 87, of 501 North Silverleaf St., Gladwin died Friday, March 17, in the Gladwin Area Hospital after a long illness. Born in Ontario, Can., on February 25, she came in Gladwin County in 1896. The former Blanche Ogg, she was married to Roy E. Foor on April 17, 1912, in Gladwin. He preceded her in death on May 21, 1977.
Surviving are 4 daughters, Mrs. John (Verna) Shearer, Mrs. Harold (Velda) Jakubowski and Mrs. Ervin (Donna) Haines of Gladwin and Mrs. Dorothy Warner of Clare; one son, Wendell of Gladwin; one brother, James Ogg of Gladwin; 3 sisters, Mrs. Fern Chatterton and Mrs. Sadie Walker of Gladwin and Mrs. Ellen Burgess of Beaverton; 17 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren.
Services were held Monday at 3 p.m. from the Hall Funeral Home, Gladwin Chapel. The Rev. Donald Bates officiated and burial was in the Highland Cemetery. Gladwin County Record dated 3-22/1978 Column – 4 Page – 2.
