11, 1892 in Georgetown, she was a daughter of Alma and Louisa Sheffield Hayes. She and Lot L. Payne were married June 9, 1909 at Paris, a ceremony later solemnized In the
LDS temple in Salt Lake City. A lifelong resident of Georgetown, she was an active work in the Relief Society for many years, and was a charter member of the American War Mothers Chapter at Georgetown. She was preceded in death by a baby daughter Besides her husband, she is survived by four sons and one daughter, Ashley L. Payne of
Arimo, and Cecil E Payne and Berdean A. Payne, both of Salt
Lake City, Ezra S. Payne of Montpelier and Mrs. Theron
(Grace) Sleight of Preston; 13 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters. Wilford W. Hayes and Mrs Maggie King, both of Georgetown, Mrs. Louie Weber of Weiser, and Mrs. Esther Smart of Soda Springs.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in the Georgetown LDS ward Chapel. Viewing at the Matthews Mortuary 8 to 9 p.m., Friday, and at ward chapel from 11 a.m. Saturday.
