WAUKESHA — Gregory P. Heil of Waukesha, formerly of Wausau, was called home to eternal life Saturday, Oct. 27, 2001, at age 85.
Greg was born at home on his parents' farm in Marathon. He used the skills in carpentry and woodworking to build his family's home in Wausau. He retired from Crestline Windows where he worked for 46 years. He and Helen moved to Waukesha after retirement in 1982 where he enjoyed creating woodworked gifts for his family and having more time for gardening.
Gregory was the beloved husband of Helen (nee Herman) for 65 years; loving father of Geraldine Schoepke (James McMahon), Russell (Mary) Heil and Linda (Tim) Tvrdik; brother of Oscar (Yvonne) and Lucille (Eugene) Osmanski; proud grandfather of Steven (Sally) Schoepke, Cynthia (Mike) Kieren, Susan Jordan, David Schoepke, Tammy (Jeff) Radmer, Angela (Roland) Aragon, Mary, Gregory (fiancee Kate) and Laura Heil and Nicholas and Jennifer Tvrdik; loving great-grandfather of Justin, Luke (fiancee Michelle) and Aaron Schoepke, Jessica and Jonathan Kieren, Sara and Jason Jordan, Samantha and Jacob Radmer and Ariana and Joseph Aragon; and great great-grandfather of Anne Rose Schoepke.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene, three brothers and two sisters.
The Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 2400 Highway 59. The Rev. Glen Graczyk will celebrate the Mass. Friends may call at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday. Interment will be in Salem Cemetery in Wales.
