John Franklin Taken By Death
Was Farmer in Plymouth County

John A. Franklin, 81, former resident of Le Mars, died Tuesday, February 13, in Kansas City, Mo., following an illness of only three days.

John Franklin was born October 18, 1863, at Davis City, Iowa, in Decatur County and came to Plymouth County about fifty years ago and lived in this vicinity until 1934 when his wife died, and since then has spent most of his time in Kansas City.

The survivors are four sons and one daughter, Carroll and Claude of Kansas City, Dale of Oklahoma City, Neil of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. J.E. Becker of Le Mars. There are also seven grandchildren.

The funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Wiltgen Funeral Home. Rev. L.L. Beck will conduct the services and interment will be in the Le Mars cemetery.
