Narcisse Lott was born in Georgia (as per 1850 Census, Alabama, Barbour Co, Alabama, household of Arthur & Bidsey Lott), the daughter of Arthur Lott Sr. It was previously thought that Bidsey Caraway McGaines was Arthur Lott's second wife and that Narcissa and her twin sister, Artemissa were of that union. However, it has been discovered that Arthur was married three times and Bidsey was the third marriage on Jan. 7, 1842. His first two marriages were in Georgia, first to Mary Triplett on April 3, 1812 at Jefferson County, GA and second, to Martha Williams on August 7, 1831 at Jefferson County, GA. Based on Narcissa's birthdate in 1839, that would mean that she was the daughter by Arthur's marriage to Martha Williams in Georgia.

Narcissa was married to Stephen Henry Bounds, Confederate soldier in the Civil War and oldest son of William M. Bounds and Martha F. Teat.
