Gus passed away on November 24, 2008. He was the loving and dedicated husband to the late Bette Ann Palazzolo (nee Baker) whom he missed dearly from her 1987 passing.
Gus was a compassionate man and a wonderful example of a father. Every anniversary he adorned his wife Bette with dozens of red roses and added a new rose for each year they were married.
He is survived by six daughters, Joan Ann (Joanie) Palazzolo, Delores J. Schopp, Bette Jo Crowell, Phyllis J. Palazzolo, Constance A. Mindak, Lisa A. Carr; four sons, Steven John, Robert August and Richard August, and his late son Charles Joseph Palazzolo that preceded him in 2002; grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He will be deeply missed. His funeral was on November 26, 2008. He was laid to rest next to the love of his life, his wonderful wife Bette.
