James Carl Armer, 79, of Kingston, Arkansas, died at his home on May 26, 1997. He was born March 21, 1918, at Kingston, the son of Nelson and Lizzie Nail Armer. He was a lifelong resident of Madison County, a farmer and a member of the Elkhorn Church. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, W.T. Armer.

He is survived by his wife of 55 Years, Velda Armer of the home; one son, Junior Armer and daughter-in-law, Billie Armer of Kingston; one sister, Ethel Moore of Springdale; one granddaughter, Julia Jackson and her husband David Jackson of Kingston.

Services were held at 2 p.m Wednesday, May 28 at the Kingston Community Church with Dearl Wilson, minister, officiating. Interment was in the Kingston Cemetery under the direction of Christeson's Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were David Watson, Daniel Watson, Bill Grigg, Steven Root, Ray Root and Doyle Root. Honorary pallbearers were Sam Fancher, Bruce Cain, Lonzo Stephenson, Kenny Riley, Garland Carlton, Boyd Villines and Danny Villines.
