Deveda Ann Oakwood Adams was born to the parentage of Marion Oakwood & Evanglist Carrie Jackson.Deveda moved with her grandparents the late Paul & Annie Mae Jones Oakwood in Waynesboro,Ga were she attended school and graduated from the Burke County School System. Deveda attend college at Bethune-Cookman University were she atained a degree in Religion and K-12 Education. Deveda begain to minister at Black Creek Tabernacle Church were she was ordained and elected to preached. She resigned in 2009 when her health started to fail her and was until to teach the gospel. Deveda married Layon Adams on May 6, 1999 in Augusta,Ga.To there union a son was born. She leaves to cherish her husband Layon Adams. her son Alexis Adams. Her Mother Evanglist Carrie Jackson. Her stepfather Rev.Melvin Jackson. Her grandmother Annie Jones Oakwood. She leaves 9 sister and brothers. Funeral servies will be held Sunday February 14, 2010 at Black Creek Tabernacle Church at 2:30.
