J.R. Grice
Funeral services for J.R. Grice who passed away at his home in Poplar Creek Saturday, June 21st, were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Chapel Hill church of which he was a member, with the Rev. T.W. Smallwood, assisted by the Rev. J.E. Eidson of Kilmichael officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery with Lee funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Grice was born in Montgomery County Nov. 15, 1869. He married Miss Victoria Braswell who with the following children survives; Mrs. Ida Cook, French Camp , Mrs. Lena Bridges, Lambert, & Mrs. Gladys Cood, Pickens; 5 sons, V.R. Grice, French Camp, Victor and Homer Grice, Kilmichael, Howell Grice, Indianola & Roy Grice, Poplar Creek. He also leaves a brother, Will Grice of Vaiden.
