Romie Harrison Cash, Sr., 82, of Taft, died Sunday in a Bakersfield convalescent hospital. The Rev. William A. Harrison, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Taft, will officiate, and burial will follow in the West Side District Cemetery. Mr. Cash was born in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, on March 19, 1900. he was a resident of Taft since 1942, and previously owned and operated a Richfield service station and garage in Ford City. Before his retirement he worked as a welder for the County of Kern. The survivors include his wife, Tessie Mae Cash; three sons, Bill, Charlie, and Romie H. Cash, Jr.; a daughter Sharon Duncan; 1 grandchild, and nine great grandchildren.
