*Information from e-mail sent by Leon's nephew, Ray Sexton Jr., 12/10/2013:
"William was called Leon all his life and his last name on the 1930 census was Sexton. But upon the death of father in 1939, his mother had his last name changed to her second husband's name, Peak. Leon in his adult years wanted to change it back, but not being a well-to-do person felt the change to be too costly and possibly confusing since he had children."

Widower of Mary A. Bayless.

The Courier-Journal, Friday, 6/23/2000.
