She was born June 14, 1905, at Spring Creek, and was a daughter of the late Hugh S. and Cora Stoutamyer Cupp.
Mrs. Cupp had lived in Port Republic since July 5, 1935, and was a member of the Port Republic United Methodist Church. She was a retired employee of the Du Plan Corporation, and had worked as a nurse's aide at Rockingham Memorial Hospital for several years.
On March 2, 1929 she married Golden E. Cupp, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, John H. Cupp of Grottoes, Gayle S. Cupp of Harrisonburg, and Gary B. Cupp of Port Republic; two daughters, Mrs. Lois Cupp Coffman of Port Repupblic, and Mrs. Carmen Cupp Good of Grottoes; one brother, Leon S. Cupp of Bridgewater; one sister, Mrs. Erva Cupp Driver of Clover Hill; 15 grandchildren and one foster granddaughter.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. at the Port Republic United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Clemmer Matheny and the Rev. William H. Rodeffer. Burial will be in East Lawn Memorial Garden. Active pallbearers will be grandsons Chris Cupp, C.W. Cupp, David Cupp, Mike Cupp, Jeff Coffman and Terry Coffman.
The body is at the W.H. Kyger Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends this evening from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
The family requests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Grottoes Rescue Squad.
