Husband of Roberta (Bobbie) Paterson. Father of Ken, Billy, Carole Anne, Rosemary, John. Son of Irwin Kavelman and Nelda Hillgartner, born in New Dundee on family farm. Had 3 brothers, Willard, Earl and Kenneth. Was in the army in Canada. Worked in Whitby at Dunlop from 1955 (August) to about 1975. Well known for his wry sense of humour and his loyalty to his family and friends. Also well known for his attempts to be Mr. Fix It - without too much success. Loved very much by his family. Buried beside his wife of 56 years. Bobbie and Ivan were great dancers and loved to dance to the 'big bands'. Lots of great memories.
