The funeral for Ben L. Earl, 65, Portland building contractor who died Sunday in a local hospital, will be at 1 p. m. Wednesday in the Colonial Mortuary. Private committal will follow at Portland Memorial. Mr. Earl. who lived at 4212 N. E. Halsey street, came to Portland 31 years ago. He was born July 5, 1838, in Fennimore, Wis. He entered the contracting field in 1938, and had been a building superintendent for Malarkey Construction company. Survivors include the widow, Lillian: three daughters, Mrs. Margaret Koehler and Mrs. Dorothy Krieger, Portland, and Mrs. Faye McAfee, Madras: a sister, Mrs. Olive Lewis, Fennimore, Wis.; two brothers, Harold, Fennimore, Wis., and Wm. Claire, Madison, Wis., and four grandchildren.
