Ethel Lucille Burnaman Wright, 87, of Nederland, Texas, (a local native) died Wednesday, February 9, 2011, at her residence.
Lucille was born September 24, 1923, in the White City community of San Augustine County, Texas to Ethel Ella McClure and George William Burnaman. She was a member of the Nederland Avenue Church of Christ in Nederland.
Lucille's hobby and passion in her later years was genealogy research on her family and her husband's family. She and her husband, Frank, traveled extensively and gathered many family records while enjoying meeting newly found cousins. She was a charter member of the Burnaman Family Association.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna Carrol Dattalo and husband Barry of Nederland; her son, Roger Lee Houston Wright and wife Candace Renee Benefield of College Station, Texas; her granddaughter, Annette Barie Bailey and husband Don of Nederland; and two great-grandsons, James Julian Bailey and Andrew Barrett Bailey, both of Nederland.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Lester Wright.
Graveside services will be held at 1pm Friday, February 11, at Oak Bluff Cemetery in Port Neches, Texas, with Michael Williams leading the service.
Services are under the direction of Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland.
