Miss Mary Elizabeth Baugher, 80, of Harrisonburg, died peacefully, Friday, May 29,2009 at her home surrounded by family and friends.
A daughter of the late Grover C and Tessie McDorman Baugher, she was born on Sept 5, 1928, in Rockingham County.
Miss Baugher graduated from Harrisonburg High Schoo, and was a lifelong caregiver. She lived the majority of her life in the Harrisonburg area and was a member of the Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
She is survived by a brother, Grover C Baugher, Jr. of Myerstown Pa.; 45 nieces and nephews, numerous great-nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews; a speca goddaughter, Danita "Peeper" Kreeger, and special friends, Anthony Terry and Loretta Crider.
She was preceded in death by 11 brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held Monday, June 1, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Mount Clinton Cemetery with Pastor Guy Hudson officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 until 9 p.m. at the Lindsey Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. The casket will be closed.
