Junior served his country during WWII aboard the LST 708 as a fireman 1st class. After returning home he married Teresa Reynolds and to this union 3 children were born, Larry, Bette and Anita.
After their divorce, Junior married Doris Kane. Doris brought into the family 6 children. Dorothy, Gary, Judy, Betty Jean, Terri and Russell.
Junior was a member of the Masonic lodge in Burlington, Iowa; he was a 32nd degree mason. A member of the Shrine temple in Davenport, Iowa. Junior was owner-operator of Rauch Trucking in Grand River until health prevented him from driving.
Prior to returning to Grand River, Junior was an over-the-road truck driver for many years, as well as owning two auto body shops in Gulfport, Illinois and Burlington, Iowa.
Junior loved the bright lights of Las Vegas and would travel there as his health permitted.
Junior was a man with a great sense of humor, a big heart and enjoyed a good joke.
Junior was a hard-working man and his greatest enjoyment were his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father Forrest, mother Dorothy, brother James, grandson Toney Rauch, granddaughter Victoria Rauch, brother-in-law Raymond Smith, sister-in-law Georgia Rauch and step-son Russell Kane.
