Ida Despins

IRON MOUNTAIN—Ida V. Despins, 93, formerly of 513 Harding Ave., Kingsford, died Monday at Golden Age Nursing Home in Tomahawk, Wis.

Mrs. Despins was born March 12, 1901, in Norway, daughter of the late Victor and Ida (Anderson) Henry. She was a graduate of Norway High School and was a lifelong resident of the area.

She married Arthur Despins on June 30, 1924. He preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1986.

Mrs. Despins was a member of the First Covenant Church in Iron Mountain and a former member of the Ladies Aid. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and knitting.

She leaves a son, Douglas (Lucille) Despins of Wausau, Wis.; a brother, Wesley Henry of Marinette, Wis.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Richard Allnutt will officiate.

Burial will be in Norway Township Cemetery.
