ADAMSON, Norman Wayne - McMinnville resident and Warren County native Norman Wayne Adamson, age 70, was born September 4, 1938 and died November 25, 2008 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following an extended illness. A retired employee of DeZurik Corporation, a United States Navy veteran and minister of the Smithville Pentecostal Fellowship Church, he was the son of the late Jessie Walling and Annie Laura Warren Adamson. He was married April 14, 1962 to Peggy Ann Ervin Adamson who preceded him in death March 10, 2008. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Adamson. He is survived by one daughter, Kathy Adamson of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Shannon Adamson of McMinnville; grandson; Eric Adamson of McMinnville; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Ray Tenpenny of Murfreesboro, TN and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral service was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2008 in High's Chapel with Rickey Mitchell, Rickey Klouse, Wade West and Veronica Watson officiating. Burial followed in the Gardens of Memory with full military honors administered by the VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173.
