RANDLEMAN - Miss Ruth "Fofo" Cox, 89, of Cedar Square Road died at 7:50 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 1993, at her home. She had been in declining health one month and critical condition one week.
Miss Cox was born June 29, 1904 in Randolph County, a daughter of Gurney and Emma Adelaide Albright Cox. She had been a resident of Randolph County all her life and was a retired seamstress. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, Coleridge, but attended Cedar Square Friends Meeting.
Surviving are nieces, Mrs. Emma Jean Zook, with whom she made her home, Mrs. Jackie Canoy of Canter Road, Archdale, Mrs. Marjorie Farlow of Cedar Square Road; nephews, Austin Nichols of Cedar Square Road, Frank Nichols of Randleman.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Cedar Square Friends Meeting by the Rev. Ben Hurley and the Rev. Winfred Crouse. Internment will be in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7-9 tonight at Cumby Mortuary, Archdale.
