Marietta J. Jeffs of Conway Court, formerly of Parkview Court, died Friday in Samaritan Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Troy, and was a graduate of the former St. Mary's School and Catholic Central High School's Class of 1938.
Mrs. Jeffs was employed by many department stores in the area. She also was employed by the former Union National Bank and the Troy Savings Bank.
She was a member of the Sycaway Senior Citizens.
Mrs. Jeffs was a communicant of Christ Sun of Justice Church and Sacred Heart Church. She was a former member of the Altar Society of Sacred Heart Church.
She was the widow of William J. Jeffs Sr. Survivors include her daughter, Donna Murray of Watervliet; and her son, William J. Jeffs Jr. of Troy.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Daniel D. Purcell Funeral Home, 510 Pawling Ave., and at 10:30 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church.
Burial will be in Elmwood Hills Cemetery, Troy.
Calling hours will be 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
