Edythe was united in marriage to Albert Hermann at Belle Plaine, Iowa in 1905. Soon after the marriage they moved to their homestead north of Draper.

Left to mourn her death are her husband, one daughter Pauline Mathews, three sons Louis, Willard and Dudley; three sisters Hattie Wilcoxin, Vera Schlemmer, Nell Hummeston; three brothers Raymond, Harold and Roy.

Her mother died in 1923 and her father in 1924
