Following her graduation from the Chamberlain High School, she taught school six years. On June 24, 1915 she was united in marriage to Alfred Anderson of Draper, SD. They made their home on White River. To this union two children were born.
She leaves to mourn her passing her husband, two daughters, Mary Ellen and Isabel, her mother, Mrs. Swan Swanson, three sisters and two brothers.
