Joseph P. Kreps, of 1922 Yale Ave., Maplewood, Missouri, complained of shortness of breath and chest pains prior to being taken to St. Mary's Hospital, at 6420 Clayton Rd. Mr. Kreps died 45 minutes later of an apparent heart attack. He was 72 years old. He was a retired clerk for the Recorder of Deeds.
He is survived by his wife, Mary (Finnegan) Kreps, of the home; his son, Thomas P. Kreps, of the same address; and another son, Joseph T. Kreps. He was predeceased by a daughter, Marion Kreps, who died of cancer at the age of 17 in 1938.
