CPL Co. A, 7th Regiment Infantry, Maine Volunteers - CIVIL WAR Served 21 Aug 1861 - 15 Nov 1862. (The U.S. Adjutant General Military Records, 1631-1976 shows Sherman died in Nov. 1862.) Gravestone shows Sherman died Dec 20, 1863. The State of Maine Old Death Record was copied from the Gravestone.
