Katherine Tyson was born in Germany and came to this country with her parents when about nine years of age and the family made their home in Detroit, Michigan. She came with her husband to Kansas in 1880 and has lived in this vicinity ever since.
She was the mother of twelve children, three of whom are dead. The names of those surviving are: Mrs. Mary Schwartz, Anthony Sellman, Mrs. Theresa Schultz, Mrs. Lizzie Swoyer, Mrs. Ida Krone, Mrs. Josephine Askey, Mrs. Rosa Veltman, Mrs. Hannah Rauch and Frank Sellman. She is also survived by her husband, William Schrandt.
Deceased was married three times. The funeral was held Thursday morning at 11 o'clock at the Catholic Church in Ada; interment being made in the Catholic cemetery near
