Funeral services for Charles V. McClure, 58, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Oakley-Metcalf Chapel with the Rev. W. E. Modisette and the Rev. Marshall Ivy officiating. Burial followed at Herrington Cemetery in the Ora community.
Mr. McClure, of Rt. 2, Huntington, died in a local hospital Monday. He was born Oct. 29, 1909, in Angelina County and had resided here all of his life. Mr. McClure was a construction worker and a member of the First Methodist Church, Diboll.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Mrs. Evelyn Gianelloni of Charlotte, NC and Mrs. Geraldine Runnels of Houston; son, Gerald McClure of Elkhart; sister, Mrs. Bertha Porter; 6 grandchildren; 3 nieces, Mrs. Nelda Deaton, Mrs. Vanita Byrd and Mrs. Larita Cutchshaw.
Pallbearers were A. T. Murphy, Jim Murphy, Jodie Conner, Melvin Conner, Willard Ivy and Robert Byrd.
