Funeral services for Delbert Wayne Birdwell, age 62, were held Saturday, July 15, 2000 at the First Baptist Church of Onalaska with the Rev. Tim Ridgeway and the Rev. Paul Fortner officiating. Interment followed in Wesley Chapel Cemetery in Crockett.
Mr. Birdwell died Wednesday, July 12, 2000 at his residence in Onalaska. He was born Dec. 3, 1937 in Crockett, the son of Floyd and Lillie Rawl's Birdwell.
Mr. Birdwell was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife JoAnn Free Birdwell of Onalaska; mother and step-father Lillie and Forests Bigalow of Conroe; brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Eloise Birdwell of Palestine and Eddy and Kathy Birdwell of New Braunfels; sister and brother-in-law Martha and Glenn Matchett of Angleton, Earline and Kenneth Cline of Grangerland; aunt Maggie Bell Birdwell Vest of Crockett; sons Jason Birdwell of Dallas, Brett Birdwell and wife Windy, grandchildren Brooke and Breanna all of Onalaska, son Chris Routson grandchildren Corey and Bryan all of Onalaska, son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Kristi Lindsay, grandson Jacon of Humble, son and daughter-in-law Steven and Brandi Smelley, grandchildren Brandon and Ryan all of Cleveland; daughter and son-in-law Rhonda and H.
