Deaver, George P., b. ca. 1844, Polk, Tennessee. Former Confederate soldier who, after being captured and sent to Point Lookout, Maryland, took the oath of allegiance and enlisted in Co. C, 1st United States Volunteer Infantry ("Galvanized Yankees"). D. 11/4/1864 (chronic diarrhea). Remains removed from Ft. Rice Cemetery and reburied in this cemetery, 12/28/1904.
