Aaron Frederick Sims

Aaron Frederick Sims, 77, of Ethel died Nov. 3, 2003 at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson.

Services were held Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel in Columbus with Rev. Phil Fancher officiating. Burial was in Carson Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery near Ethel.

Sims was a native of Attala County, son of the late Fred Carlton and Leola Lee Sims. Before moving to Ethel in 1991, he lived in Columbus for 40 years where he was a self employed construction contractor. He was a member of Ethel Baptist Church.

Sims was preceded in death by his wife, Hilda E. Sims, and his brother, Robert Dell Sims

He is survived by his sister, Wilma Nell Shields of Ethel; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great-nephews.

Pallbearers were Clyde Jennings, Freddie Shields, Roger Jennings, Kristopher Shields, and Larry Pee.
