BRICK WALL'S COLLAPSE KILLS TWO WORKERS

Two workers were killed Monday about 1:45 p.m. when a forklift hit the wall of an office-warehouse being constructed and knocked it on them.
The two victims were working near a mortar mixer at 3785 S. 5th West when the wall toppled, crushing both beneath the brick, said Deputy Sheriff Kent Bates.
Harvey John Atkinson, 18, 391 East 6400 South, was killed instantly and Danny L. DePriest, 28, 2070 West 14400 South, died shortly after arrival at a hospital.
The unfinished wall was knocked over when the fork lift was leaving the building through a large overhead door opening.
Driver of the forklift, Robert Lloyd, 20, 327 E. 4th South, Sandy, was later taken to St. Marks Hospital for treatment of shock, the investigating officer said.
Both victims were employed by the Goff Masonry Construction Co., 575 E. 9790 South, Sandy
