Myra Joanne Meents, 77, of Kankakee passed away January 11, 2010 at Manor Care Nursing Home. She was born on July 3, 1932 in Decatur, IL. to James O. and Marie F. Wright who precede her in death. On June 12, 1948 she married Willard E. Meents in Kankakee, Il. Myra was a member of T.O.P.S. Illinois group #708 and volunteered at Shapherds Attic at Good Sheperd Manor in Momence,. Il. She is survived by her husband Willard of Kankakee, her daughters Diane (David) Dionne of Bourbonnais, Cynthia (Gus) Boucher of Bourbonnais, Lisa (Stephen) DeYoung of St. Anne, and LeAnn (Larry) Crowell of Ewin, TN., her sons David (Ellen) Meents of Centralia, WA., Bruce (Laura) Meents of Ooltewah, TN., Brian (Annette) Meents of Braidwood, and Gary (Robin) Meents of Portsmouth, VA., 25 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, sisters Dorothy Tanner of Vono, CO., and Betty (Russ) Perkiser of Searcy, Arkansas, and many nieces and nephews. Myra was preceded in death by her son William Lowell Meents, a granddaughter Ariana Crowell, a sister Janis Henson, brothers Rev.
