A. Naomi Baker, 95, of Shelbyville died Friday, Feb. 12, 2010, at Heritage House Convalescent Center.
Born Sept. 3, 1914, in Shelby County, she was the daughter of John Earl and Jessie Meryl (Cropper) Shoaf. She married Gene Baker on June 24, 1933, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1981.
Survivors include her daughters, Joy (husband, George) Fox of Shelbyville and Millie (husband, Gary) Hamner of Waldron; grandchildren, Marci Knarr, Grant Hamner, Steve Fox and Gretchen Delay; and seven great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Vema Harrell.
Mrs. Baker was a homemaker and farmer and had formerly worked part time at Amos Plastics and KCL.
She graduated from Flat Rock High School.
Mrs. Baker's greatest delights were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday in Flat Rock Cemetery in Flat Rock.
Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St.
