Jerry Thomas Adler, 71, of Madison, died Saturday, Feb. 13, 2010, at Hickory Creek of Madison.

He was born Feb. 13, 1939, in Madison, the son of Charles and Ruth Adler. He was raised in Madison and lived all of his life in Jefferson County. He married Mildred Louise Carson in March 1969. He was employed early in life at the Sinclair Service Station in downtown Madison for several years. In 1970, he was employed as a master machinist with the Indiana-Kentucky Electric Corp. He retired in 2002. He enjoyed going to the gambling boat, tinkering on cars, playing cards, riding his bicycle, C.B. radios, bowling and drag racing. He became a member of the Bible Baptist Temple Church on May 21, 2006.

He is survived by one son, Thomas Lee Adler of Hanover; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Charles "Sonny" Adler, who died April 3, 1991; and one sister, Dorothy McCord.

The funeral was at Morgan & Nay Funeral Centre. Burial was in Grandview Memorial Gardens.
