My great aunt Mary Elizabeth (Hanlon) Baker was born on June 16, 1886 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois, to John and Mary P. (Powers) Hanlon.
She married Charles Pierce Baker on August 1, 1907 in Alton, Madison County, Illinois at Saint Peter & Paul's Catholic Church. They lived in Alton until after the 1910 census, they appear in the 1920 census as living in St. Louis, Saint Louis City, Missouri. She lived in St. Louis, Missouri the rest of her life.
They had three daughters, Jessie, Irene, and Mary Evelyn Baker.
Mary was a supervisor of operations at the Kinloch office, she had been on the staff since company began business in Alton, Illinois. She resigned her position before her marriage.
She died on April 11, 1969 in Saint Louis, Missouri, and is buried in Calvary Cemetery and Mausoleum in St. Louis, Saint Louis City, Missouri, next to her husband Charles Pierce Baker
