Martha A. Stith was born Sept 19, 1857 in Fairfield County, Ohio. She was united in marriage to James B. Jackson on Jan 31, 1884 after which they moved to Barnes, Kansas. In 1888 they moved to Gage County, Nebraska, and in 1911 moved to York County where they lived until the spring of 1923 when they moved to Lincoln County later to return again in 1928 to York County where they made their home until about two months before her death. There were six children born to this union five living who are, Mrs Mina Pile of Kimball; Mrs Margaret Pile of Kimball; Zeb H. Jackson of Ingham; Mrs Bertha Hunt of North Platte; J. Branson Jackson of Benkleman, Nebr., She leaves a loving husband, five children, 27 grandchildren and five great grandchildren to morn her loss. She was united with the Primitive Baptist church in 1877 and has lived in good faith until her death, which age was 82 years, 3 months, and 27 days.
