Nora Lee McCune married James Columbus Swarts son of Christopher Columbus Swarts and Eliza Jane Sublette(K). James and Nora had at least two children, James and John.


Nora Lee Swarts, nee McCune, 87, died November 28, 1968. She was born in Lincoln County, Missouri, April 21, 1881. In March of 1897 she married Lewis Alexander Baker. To this union three children were born; Elsie Boenker of Bridgeton, Missouri, Robert Baker of St. Charles, Missouri, and Lula Turville of Kansas City, Missouri. After Mr Baker's death, she married James Columbus Swarts. Two sons were born to this union: James C Swarts Jr of Whiteville, North Carolina and John S. L. Swarts of St Louis, Missouri. Mr Swarts preceded her in death on August 26, 1948. Survivors are one brother, Clarence McCune of Fulton, Missouri, two sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, twelve grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services were held at the Wright City Baptist Church on December 2, 1968 with the Reverend George Hoech of Elsberry, Missouri, officiating. Interment was in the Wright City Cemetery, Wright City, Missouri.
